The opera "Carmen" by the great French composer Georges Bizet is both a flight of his genius and a life fiasco. The heroes of the action are bandits, smugglers, soldiers. At the premiere in 1875 at the Opera Comic outraged spectators resented the image of the protagonist as a "shameless seductress." Bizet could not stand the failure and died three months later. Seven years later, the opera returned to Paris with great success and has since triumphed around the world.
In the role of Carmen we will hear Violeta Radomirska, who is a specialist of Alexandrina Milcheva, since 1999 she has been working mainly in Switzerland, since 2014 she has been a freelance artist, and in the 2018-2019 season she made her debut on the Milan Rock. The wonderful tenor, director and vocal pedagogue Ivaylo Mihailov, a student of Valeri Popova and Kaludi Kaludov, will play one of his crowning roles - Don Jose.
