There is a tragic Italian story that turns thirty these days, but that originates in an indefinite time.
In an incredible sequence of anomalies, judicial follies, never expiated sins, omissions, and unprecedented "unspoken words". It is the story of one roar, or rather two. Of a burning of bodies and hopes, of criminal promises and institutional betrayals. It is the story of the massacres of Capaci and of via D'Amelio and of a criminal plan that matures behind the most granitic protective wall, that of organized confusion: because in Italy there is no safer shelter than the reign of disorder. It is the story of the biggest misdirection of this country. Of state infidels, creators and promoters of a reality that has swallowed up every form of justice, truth, even verisimilitude. 
It is the story of what remains. Ash. 

After The Stolen Words and The Traitors , a new investigative work by Gery Palazzotto closes the circle on the mysteries of the 1992 massacres in which Giovanni Falcone, Francesca Morvillo, Paolo Borsellino and the escort agents Vito Schifani, Rocco Dicillo, Antonio Montinaro, Agostino died. Catalano, Emanuela Loi, Vincenzo Li Muli, Walter Eddie Cosina and Claudio Traina. 

With the music of Marco Betta, Fabio Lannino and Diego Spitaleri and the narration by Gigi Borruso, "Cenere" is also a sort of magnifying glass to analyze the fundamental steps that led to that indecent criminal masterpiece which is - by definition of the judges - the most sensational misdirection of republican Italy.
