As a new member of the ensemble, Arvid Fagerfjäll gives an insight into his occupation with this intensive genre with his recital.
The young Swedish baritone received his training in Sweden, Germany and Italy from influential teachers such as KS Prof. Regina Werner-Dietrich and Prof. Peter Anton Ling.
Robert Schumann's songs based on poems by Julius Kerner speak of a longing for faraway places, for past happiness. As a kind of reflection, these romantic treasures are juxtaposed with songs by Aribert Reimann, Viktor Ullmann and Moritz Eggert.
In September, Arvid Fagerfjäll took 2nd place at the 2022 Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition in London.
