2023, for the Opéra de Lyon, marks the beginning of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of its Orchestra; a wonderful opportunity to retrace this story, over the coming months, with the musical directors who have marked it: Daniele Rustioni and his predecessors – Kent Nagano, Kazushi Ono. Daniele Rustioni, musical director of the Opéra de Lyon, alongside the Orchestra since 2017, and recently named Conductor of the Year by the Opera Awards – the equivalent of the Oscars in the lyrical world, marks the opening of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Orchestra and the Lyon Opera season! Princesses, swans, animated toys and magical characters… in three magical suites of ballets that have become cults, a whole world of tales and legends comes to life in Tchaikovsky's romantic orchestra.
