This season, the French pianist continues his exploration of Schubert, which began last season, with the  Quatre Impromptus this evening.D. 934, the second notebook of this type. Throughout these four pieces, we pass from the spirit of freedom and fantasy of the first to the wildly wild and colorful character of the last. The richness of the invention disputes it with the subtlety of the piano writing all imprinted with a halo of nostalgic lyricism. Schumann saw the artist in it “as if he were looking back on his past”. Schumann will occupy the entire second part of this program with the famous Kreisleriana. Eight pieces all linked by a thematic affinity and alternating the inner conflicts of amorous passion with the most fantastic visions. All the genius of Schumann and one of the peaks of musical romanticism.

Le pianiste français poursuit cette saison son exploration de Schubert entamée la saison dernière avec ce soir les Quatre Impromptus D. 934, le second cahier de ce type. Tout au long de ces quatre pièces, on passe de l’esprit de liberté et de fantaisie de la première jusqu’au caractère follement sauvage et haut en couleurs de la dernière . La richesse de l’invention le dispute à la subtilité de l’écriture pianistique tout empreinte d’un halo de lyrisme nostalgique. Schumann y voyait l’artiste « comme s’il se penchait sur son passé ».  Schumann justement occupera toute la seconde partie de ce programme avec les célèbres Kreisleriana. Huit pièces toutes liées par une affinité thématique et faisant alterner les conflits intérieurs de la passion amoureuse aux visions les plus fantastiques. Tout le génie de Schumann et l’un des sommets du romantisme musical.
