In the top trio of Mozart conductors, there is Louis Langrée. Director
of the Mostly Mozart Festival in New
York and the Camerata Salzburg, it is,
we know, a lover of music
of Mozart that he plays as he breathes.
After his return to France noticed at
Aix-en-Provence last year, its
Clemence of Titus at the Theater des
Champs-Elysées, Louis Langrée
returns to the Festival and appropriates the
Basilica. On program two
contrasting works, between the very vocal
Davidde Penitente, cantata to discover which conceals gems, sketches
inspired by the future airs of the Mass in
C and a few operas, and the vehement and famous 40th symphony. An adequate chamber orchestra, the excellent chamber choir
Accentus, a dream cast
kidnapped by Sandrine Piau, a faithful
of the Festival and one of the most beautiful
Pamina to the world. An incisive Mozart
and theatrical, an accomplished Mozart.

Après son retour en France remarqué à
Aix-en-Provence l’an dernier, sa
Clémence de Titus au Théâtre des

revient au Festival et s’approprie la
Basilique. Au programme deux

ut et de quelques opéras, et la véhémente et célébrissime 40ème symphonie. Un orchestre de chambre adéquat, l’excellent chœur de chambre
Accentus, une distribution de rêve
enlevée par Sandrine Piau, une fidèle
du Festival et l’une des plus belles
Pamina au monde. Un Mozart incisif
et théâtral, un Mozart accompli.
