Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute" on our stage is in the version first shown at the Lausanne Opera in 2010. The famous German theater designer and director Pet Halmen transferred the action to the library of the Duchess Anna Amalia in Weimar, where a valuable collection of rare books and scores was kept. And although the reason for this decision was a terrible fire, in which most of the rarities burned down, European critics recognized the production with references to the famous book collection as one of the brightest and most harmonious interpretations of The Magic Flute of our time.
