The concert brings together various examples of traditional European “nocturnal” music and constitutes a kaleidoscope that reflects the varied facets of the night. Talk about brilliant celebrations, love dramas and wishes, holding lullabies, ghosts and the holiest of nights. Vivaldi's music is at the center of the concert. A bridge between these works, functioning as interludes, songs, diminutions, motets, madrigals, sommeils and ciaccone from Spain, Holland, France, England, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Dorothee Oberlinger is today one of the most internationally acclaimed exponents of her instrument. After its international debut in 1997, numerous invitations to festivals and concert halls followed, such as the Grand Théâtre of Bordeaux and the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, its recordings and CDs of 17th and 18th century Baroque music have been awarded by international critics with the highest awards including Diapason d'Or. In September 2020 she was awarded the Opus Klassik Best Instrumentalist of the Year award, the most important classical music award in Germany.
