"Artiste étoile" Golda Schultz, who owes her beautiful first name to the Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, is an artist who thinks outside the box of her own discipline. She originally wanted to be a journalist herself, but as an opera star she is also involved in social and political issues, for example for the "Opera for Peace" initiative, and is open to opinions. For example with this song recital, which she dedicated exclusively to female composers: a statement. "I was interested in what other women have to say about love, disappointments and all the big human issues," she explains the idea. «The answers are as complex as they are emotional, all five composers in the program have created very colorful music. » With Clara Schumann and Emilie Mayer, there are two German romantics, one of whom has always been a celebrity, the other almost forgotten. The British Rebecca Clarke and the French Nadia Boulanger stand for early modernism, and with Kathleen Tagg, born in 1977, Golda Schultz presents a composer who, like herself, comes from South Africa.
