Star violinist Hilary Hahn, our 2023–24 Artist-in-Residence, performs Prokofiev’s dramatic Violin Concerto No. 1. Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra is an extravaganza showing off the brilliance of the orchestra, both as individual musicians and as a cohesive ensemble. Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballade, written when he was only 23, combines a sense of grand adventure with lilting tenderness. Jakub Hrůša conducts.

Hilary Hahn is The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence for the 2023–24 season.
