Maria Callas is considered to be one of the last great divas in the opera world. The Greek-American opera singer was one of the most important sopranos of the 20th century. Michael Vaccaro, artistic director of Opera Classica Europa, was lucky enough to hear this great artist live in one of her last concerts on February 11, 1974 in Philadelphia / USA. This unforgettable experience made him want to hold a gala concert in honor of the legendary Maria Callas in Germany a long time ago.
