Admired worldwide for his instrumental music, César Franck was also a composer of operas of great interest. On the occasion of the festivities of its bicentenary, the OPRL honors the most unjustly forgotten of its masterpieces: Hulda (1882-1885), a romantic drama that takes place in the threatening world of the Vikings. Cultivating theatrics, sensual, full of lyrical flights, alloys of refined timbre, Hulda confirms Franck's dramatic force to the delight of lyrical art lovers. A concert version not to be missed!
