On Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 19:30 in the Sweelinckzaal, singers from the CvA's Classical Voice Department will perform an abridged concert version of Bellini's "I Capuleti e i Montecchi".
Based on William Shakespeare's tragic romance "Romeo and Juliet", Bellini's achingly beautiful and melancholic melodies aim directly for its listeners' hearts, never giving a moment’s doubt about the young lovers’ feelings for one another.
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a beautiful and moving performance of one of Bellini's most extraordinary operas.
