Composers and musical humorists Igudesman & Joo have much in common with Rachmaninoff. They enjoy turning things upside down. In one of Rachmaninoff's last compositions - Rhapsody on a Paganini Theme - the artist took Paganini's famous theme and simply turned it upside down to create one of the greatest melodies of all time. It's so great that Bill Murray has it play every day in the film Groundhog Day, and in the video game Gran Turismo the same tune plays as players rev their engines in the calm before the storm. But what if Igudesman & Joo reverse what Rachmaninoff has already turned upside down?

Die Komponisten und musikalische Humoristen Igudesman & Joo haben viel mit Rachmaninoff gemeinsam. Es bereitet ihnen viel Freude, Dinge auf den Kopf zu stellen. In einer der letzten Kompositionen Rachmaninoffs – Rhapsodie über ein Thema von Paganini – nahm der Künstler das berühmte Thema von Paganini und dreht es einfach auf den Kopf, um eine der großartigsten Melodien aller Zeiten zu schaffen. Sie ist so großartig, dass Bill Murray sie im Film „Und täglich grüßt das Murmeltier“ jeden Tag spielen lässt, und im Videospiel Gran Turismo spielt die gleiche Melodie, während die Spieler in der Ruhe vor dem Sturm die Motoren aufheulen lassen. Was aber, wenn Igudesman & Joo das, was Rachmaninoff schon auf den Kopf gedreht hat… noch einmal umkehren?
