Figaro is not only the best barber in town, but also a playmaker, intrigue man and jack of all trades. With calculated chaos and all sorts of masquerades, he manages to free Rosina from the hands of her guardian Bartolo and bring her together with the beautiful Count Almaviva. In the staging by director and puppeteer Nikolaus Habjan, artful snap-mouth puppets come into the limelight. The characters develop a deep human psyche and become equal play partners of the singers. The production celebrates the 15th anniversary of the opera studio OperAvenir .
