Premiere of a new production of the opera "The Barber of Seville"

The work has a very long and rich history. Rossini wrote an opera based on a comedy of the same name by Pierre Beaumarchais in 1816 in less than 20 days. A couple of weeks later, the first performance took place, thwarted by clackers and admirers of Paisiello. However, the failure of the premiere did not embarrass either the artists or the production team, and they continued to work on the performance, which eventually immortalized their names in the theatrical field forever.

 

The opera was first presented to the Kazakh audience in 1972, also on the stage of the GATOB, with the People's Artist of the USSR Yermek Serkebayev in the title role. And now, many years later, The Barber is back on our stage. In the new stage solution of the production team of conductor Vittorio Parisi, familiar to the Almaty public from the production of the opera "Rigoletto", director Christine Hukke and artist Patricio Perez, the opera will sound in its original version, in which the maestro opened scenes that have not been performed before.

 

An incredibly colorful performance awaits you, with a cool twisted plot.
