Marc Minkowski returns to the Passion according to Saint John , given in 2010 in Grenoble, Krakow and Paris with Markus Brutscher and Christian Immler.

As for the Mass in B in 2008, the Magnificat or the Passion according to Saint Matthew in 2012, the conductor deviates from the traditional interpretation with an enlarged choir: he takes the side of a tight vocal workforce around eight soloists, faithful to the conditions in which the work was probably created in 1724.

Accompanied by Les Musiciens du Louvre in a reduced formation, the singers gathered around the Evangelist perform their parts and those of the choir. They take us to the dizzying heights of this immense sacred room.
