Als eine seiner größten Opernerfolge zeigt La Bohème das einfache und doch so lustvolle Leben der vier Bohèmiens, vier junge Freunde, allesamt Künstler. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die tragische Liebesgeschichte von Mimí und Rodolfo, die Puccini meisterhaft musikalisch nachzeichnet mit Arien, die zu Herzen gehen.
