In occasione dei 150 anni dalla nascita di Giacomo Puccini, Sassari onora il compositore con una delle opere più rappresentate nella storia della città - la prima edizione fu nel 1898 al vecchio Politeama. La bohème chiude la Stagione 2008 con il ritorno in città di Francesco Demuro, tenore portotorrese già confermatosi anche nei prestigiosi teatri d'oltreoceano, nel ruolo di Rodolfo, appena un anno dopo la trionfale Luisa Miller dell'anno precedente. La bohème è un inno all'amicizia e alla vita, appunto, bohèmien degli artisti. Opera in quattro quadri, debuttò al Teatro Regio con la direzione di Arturo Toscanini nel 1896. Ambientata a Parigi nel 1830, racconta le vicende di Rodolfo e Mimì, di Musetta e Marcello, di Schaunard e Colline, fino al suo tragico epilogo.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini's birth, Sassari honors the composer with one of the most represented works in the history of the city - the first edition was in 1898 at the old Politeama. La bohème closes the 2008 season with the return to the city of Francesco Demuro, a tenor from Porto, who has already confirmed himself in the prestigious overseas theaters, in the role of Rodolfo, just one year after the triumphant Luisa Miller of the previous year. La Bohemeit is a hymn to friendship and to the bohemian life of artists. Opera in four paintings, it made its debut at the Teatro Regio under the direction of Arturo Toscanini in 1896. Set in Paris in 1830, it tells the story of Rodolfo and Mimì, Musetta and Marcello, Schaunard and Colline, up to its tragic epilogue.
