Love and jealousy, friendship and betrayal, revenge and magnanimity - Mozart's last Italian opera »La clemenza di Tito« has everything an epic Roman drama needs. If a great diva then slips into the leading role, breathless excitement is guaranteed: After her role debut in Salzburg 2021, Cecilia Bartoli can now also be heard in Hamburg as the emperor's friend Sesto, who is torn between love and loyalty.

It goes without saying that the virtuoso mezzo-soprano is surrounded by fellow campaigners of equal standing. In addition to a fantastic co-cast with the tenor John Osborn, repeatedly beaten to the "knight of the high C" by the international press, and the soprano Fatma, who is on a steep career path Said, Cecilia Bartoli has the Musiciens du Prince at her side. The virtuoso original sound orchestra was founded in 2016 on her personal initiative. It is based in Monaco, where Cecilia Bartoli will take over as director of the opera house in 2023.

Dass die virtuose Mezzosopranistin dabei von ebenbürtigen Mitstreitern umgeben ist, versteht sich von selbst. Neben einer traumhaften Co-Besetzung mit dem Tenor John Osborn, von der internationalen Presse mehrfach zum »Ritter vom hohen C« geschlagen, und der auf steilen Karrierepfaden wandelnden Sopranistin Fatma Said hat Cecilia Bartoli die Musiciens du Prince an ihrer Seite. Das virtuose Originalklang-Orchester wurde 2016 auf ihre persönliche Initiative gegründet. Beheimatet ist es in Monaco, wo Cecilia Bartoli 2023 die Intendanz des Opernhauses übernehmen wird.
