In 2019, the music world commemorates the 350th anniversary of Cesti's death. What would fit better in Innsbruck, the city where he worked for many years, than the brilliant comedy of disguises and mistaken identity «La Dori», to commemorate the greatest opera comedian and most gifted melodist of the 17th century. Ottavio Dantone, who works from La Scala in Milan to the Salzburg Festival as a specialist in baroque and classical opera, will direct "Doris" Renaissance after more than three centuries on the Innsbruck opera stage and conduct his exquisite original sound ensemble, the Accademia Bizantina. The Babylonian love confusion of "Dori" takes place on the banks of the Euphrates and at the court of Babylon.
