The Seoul Metropolitan Opera’s first performance in 2024, which gained huge popularity with “Turandot” in 2023, recording all seats sold out. A new version of Verdi’s masterpiece “La Traviata” is portrayed against the backdrop of Seoul in the 1900s. Violetta lives as a society queen in beau monde, with her original identity hidden in an extravagant and sumptuous life. Moved by a trivial pleasure of life, she eventually gives up everything and chooses a normal life with her lover. However, the gloomy times hinders their love, and Violetta decides to sacrifice her life for everyone.
