Le Dernier Sorcier is a magical story of elves, fairies and sorcerers, for all audiences. Told with a current staging and delicious music, in which you can appreciate the influences of great operatic composers such as Offenbach, Meyerbeer or Gounod, belonging to the select circle of artistic friends of its author, Pauline Viardot-García , who was one of the most important singers of her time and a composer of increasingly recognized talent.

This 2021, we celebrate the second centenary of the birth of this exceptional woman, daughter of the Sevillian tenor and composer Manuel García and sister of the mythical María Malibrán, total artist and inspiring muse of other artists such as G. Sand, F. Chopin, Berlioz or the own librettist of this salon operetta, the great Russian writer Ivan Turgenev. Nothing better to celebrate this special event than this magnificent new production that the Littleopera Festival brings us, in collaboration with one of the most important opera festivals in Europe, the Festival Della Valle D'Itria by Martina Franca, and the MUSEG Festival. of Music of Segovia.

Le Dernier Sorcier es una mágica historia de elfos, hadas y hechiceros, para todos los públicos. Contada con una actual puesta en escena y con una deliciosa música, en la cuál se pueden apreciar las influencias de grandes compositores operísticos como Offenbach, Meyerbeer o Gounod, pertenecientes al selecto círculo de amistades artísticas de su autora, Pauline Viardot-García, quien fue una de las cantantes más importantes de su época y compositora de cada vez más reconocido talento.

Este 2021, celebramos el segundo centenario del nacimiento de esta mujer excepcional, hija del tenor y compositor sevillano Manuel García y hermana de la mítica María Malibrán, artista total y musa inspiradora de otros artistas como G. Sand, F. Chopin, Berlioz o el propio libretista de esta opereta de salón, el gran escritor ruso Ivan Turgenev. Nada mejor para celebrar esta efeméride tan especial que esta magnífica nueva producción que el Festival Littleopera nos trae, en colaboración con de uno de los más importantes festivales de ópera de Europa, el Festival Della Valle D’Itria de Martina Franca, y el MUSEG Festival de Música de Segovia.
