Georges Bizet's early opera The Pearl Seekers was staged by Roman Viktyuk as a modern drama. The Indian legend about the love of the pearl seeker Nadir and the leader of the Zurgi tribe to the beautiful priestess Leila turns out to be only the plot of the film, the shooting of which takes place in front of the public. The action takes place in Paris, which means that you can not do without a love affair. Leila, Nadir and Zurga meet on the set
