Initiator, in 1607, of a genre promised to a vast future - the opera -, L'Orfeo follows the plot of the famous ancient legend. Monteverdi explores all the ingredients that will make the glory of lyrical theater: alchemy of timbres, alternation of arias and recitatives, skilful dramatic progression... Jordi Savall and his Concert des Nations offer us their interpretation of this original work.

Monteverdi y explore tous les ingrédients qui feront la gloire du théâtre lyrique : alchimie des timbres, alternance airs-récitatifs, savante progression dramatique… Jordi Savall et son Concert des Nations nous offrent leur interprétation de cette œuvre originelle.
