Il grande giorno sta arrivando: venerdì 16 dicembre, al Teatro “Maestro Tonino Pardo” a Trapani, alle ore 21.00, va in scena la prima dell’opera Lucia di Lammermoor di Gaetano Donizetti, spettacolo che conclude la 68ª stagione dell’Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese. L’opera andrà in seconda rappresentazione domenica 18 dicembre, alle ore 18.30. Si tratta dell’evento più importante dell’anno per una città come Trapani. Lo stupore si amplifica e si rinnova: come un regalo alla Città, il Luglio apre, finalmente, al pubblico, il teatro intitolandolo al M° Tonino Pappalardo, in arte “Pardo”, fondatore del Conservatorio “A. Scontrino”.
Con Lucia di Lammermoor, la musica entra per la prima volta in questo teatro dopo 24 anni. La struttura, interna al Conservatorio “A. Scontrino” sito al quartiere Fontanelle-Milo, in Via Francesco Sceusa a Trapani, ha una forma circolare, 650 posti a sedere e un palco di 150mq.

Note di regia
Trasportiamoci sulle alte montagne scozzesi, in una notte buia ed infinita.
Il vento e gli altri elementi della natura si dimenano, mentre Lucia vive il calore di un amore forte ed unico, nelle braccia di un Ravenswood, cioè nelle braccia del nemico più grande degli Ashton.
Il potere, la “casata”, la stirpe contro la sorte: per poi penetrare come fattore imprevedibile l’amore, risultando un fattore incontrastato che porterà al dramma.
Per Donizetti la musica non sottolinea o enfatizza l’elemento drammatico, la musica ha una carismatica leggerezza; la musica ha un’espressione drammatica e vitale, lasciando spazio alla pura interpretazione dell'elemento tragico ed insinuandosi con grande maestria nella rappresentazione della follia di Lucia stessa.
Nello spettacolo abbiamo provato a ridisegnare la trama dell’opera all’ interno di un ospedale psichiatrico, ermeticamente chiuso e cupo.

The big day is coming: on Friday 16 December, at the "Maestro Tonino Pardo" Theater in Trapani, at 9.00 pm, the premiere of Gaetano Donizetti's opera Lucia di Lammermoor will be staged , a show that concludes the 68th season of the July Musical Organization Trapani. The opera will have its second performance on Sunday 18 December at 18.30. This is the most important event of the year for a city like Trapani. The amazement is amplified and renewed: as a gift to the City, July finally opens the theater to the public, naming it after M° Tonino Pappalardo, alias “Pardo”, founder of the “A. Receipt".
With Lucia di Lammermoor , music enters this theater for the first time after 24 years. The structure, inside the Conservatory “A. Scontrino” located in the Fontanelle-Milo district, in Via Francesco Sceusa in Trapani, has a circular shape, 650 seats and a 150m2 stage.

Director's notes
Let's transport ourselves to the high Scottish mountains, in a dark and infinite night.
The wind and the other elements of nature writhe, while Lucia experiences the warmth of a strong and unique love, in the arms of a Ravenswood, that is, in the arms of the Ashtons' greatest enemy.
Power, the "house", the lineage against fate: to then penetrate love as an unpredictable factor, resulting in an unchallenged factor that will lead to drama.
For Donizetti the music does not underline or emphasize the dramatic element, the music has a charismatic lightness; the music has a dramatic and vital expression, leaving room for the pure interpretation of the tragic element and insinuating itself with great mastery into the representation of Lucia's madness.
In the show we tried to redraw the plot of the work inside a psychiatric hospital, hermetically closed and gloomy.
