In 1945 Victoria de los Ángeles made her international debut at the Gran Teatro del Liceo, her city's opera house, and she did so with the Countess of Almaviva, a theater that always accompanied her directly or indirectly and to which she returned in 1992 after twenty-five years of incomprehensible absence. The success was such that the aria of the third act and the duet had to be rehearsed, according to the La Vanguardia chronicle., and just two years later, the public was already organizing tributes to him. The character of the countess, so nostalgic and serene, was present throughout her career and she performed it at the Metropolitan in New York on the occasion of Mozart's two hundredth birthday on January 27, 1956. Miah Persson, also a great Mozart, renders her personal tribute to Victoria on her centenary, together with Joseph Middleton, exploring the loneliness and nostalgia of the Countess. A role that was one of Victoria's great creations, perhaps because it becomes, in some way, a mirror of her sentimental life. My hope is to change the ungrateful heart...

El 1945 Victoria de los Ángeles feia el seu debut internacional al Gran Teatre del Liceu, l’òpera de la seva ciutat i ho feia amb la comtessa d’Almaviva, un teatre que l’acompanyà sempre de manera directa o indirecta i al qual retornà el 1992 després de vint-i-cinc anys d’incomprensible absència. L’èxit fou tal que l’ària del tercer acte i el duet van haver de ser bisats, segons la crònica de La Vanguardia, i tan sols dos anys més tard, el públic ja li organitzava homenatges. El personatge de la comtessa, tan nostàlgic i serè, estigué present durant la seva carrera arribant-lo a interpretar al Metropolitan de Nova York en ocasió del dos-cents aniversari de Mozart el 27 de gener de 1956. Miah Persson, també una gran mozartiana, ret el seu personal homenatge a Victoria en el seu centenari, junt amb Joseph Middleton, explorant la solitud i nostàlgia de la Comtessa.
