The solo trombone of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra performs Te Bon e Paiporta by Ferrer Ferran, without a doubt a good occasion to enjoy a first-rate performer and a fast-paced work. Ferran transports us to the Horta Sud de Valencia to introduce us to Sant Jordi, Paiporta's old name, smell the delicate perfume of the orange tree and invite us to the Festa al Barranc, the most characteristic of the Valencian population. Right before, the Danse satanique concert by the French composer Kosmicki begins, a true diabolical coven with vibrant and musically demanding music. 

The Symphony no. 1 by Appermont, the Belgian composer to whom the Band dedicates the artist portrait this season, is inspired by the exploits of Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, based on the well-known epic poem preserved on a Sumerian tablet. The protagonists are two opposing forces: Gilgamesh himself, who seeks immortality, and his companion Enkidu, who represents the wildest side of humanity. A founding myth at the service of extraordinary music.

El trombó solista de l’Orquestra Filharmònica de Los Angeles interpreta Te Bon e Paiporta de Ferrer Ferran, sens dubte una bona ocasió per gaudir d’un intèrpret de primer nivell i d’una obra trepidant. Ferran ens transporta a l’Horta Sud de València per fer-nos conèixer Sant Jordi, antic nom de Paiporta, sentir el perfum delicat de la tarongina i convidar-nos a la Festa al Barranc, la més característica de la població valenciana. Just abans, enceta el concert la Danse satanique del compositor francès Kosmicki, un veritable aquelarre diabòlic amb una música vibrant i musicalment molt exigent. 

La Simfonia n. 1 d’Appermont, compositor belga a qui la Banda dedica el retrat d’artista aquesta temporada, s’inspira en les gestes de Guilgameix, rei d’Uruk, a partir del conegut poema èpic conservat en una tauleta sumèria. Els protagonistes són dues forces contràries: el mateix Guilgameix, que cerca la immortalitat, i el seu company Enkidu, que representa el costat més salvatge de la humanitat. Un mite fundacional al servei d’una música extraordinària.
