The “Six Masterpieces” subscription includes Sunday afternoon concerts conducted by the famous St. Petersburg musicologist and educator Natalia Entelis. Each program is built around one of the greatest masterpieces in music history. 

The plot of the January program is “twisted” around Mozart’s Fortieth Symphony – one of his last three symphonic scores, which sounded tragic for his contemporaries and aroused delight among composers of the next, romantic era. It delights the public even today, remaining one of the most performed and recognizable classical works in the world. 

On stage with Natalia Entelis are the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and music director and chief conductor of the Mikhailovsky Theater Alexander Solovyov.

Абонемент «Шесть шедевров» – это воскресные дневные концерты, которые ведет известный петербургский музыковед и просветитель Наталия Энтелис. Каждая программа построена вокруг одного из величайших шедевров в истории музыки. 

Сюжет январской программы «закручен» вокруг Сороковой симфонии Моцарта – одной из трех его последних симфонических партитур, звучащей трагически для современников и вызывавшей восторг у композиторов следующей, романтической эпохи. Восторг она вызывает у публики и сегодня, оставаясь одной из самых исполняемых и узнаваемых классических сочинений в мире. 

На сцене вместе с Наталией Энтелис – Академический симфонический оркестр Петербургской филармонии и музыкальный руководитель и главный дирижер Михайловского театра Александр Соловьев.
