Ačkoliv jeho jméno vypadá italsky, pochází z texaského Port Athuru. Ačkoliv je Američan, už několik let úspěšně vede špičkový francouzský Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, který má rezidenturu ve slavné Philharmonie de Paris. A konečně: ačkoliv je vynikajícím dirigentem se strhující energií, bude v Praze poprvé. Podobně jako německý specialista na americkou hudbu, houslista Linus Roth hrající na Stradivárky „Dancla“. Výsledný program pak vše zrcadlí a podtrhuje. Stejně jako počínající Rok české hudby, rok Smetanův, Janáčkův a Dvořákův.

Although his name looks Italian, he hails from Port Arthur, Texas. Although he is American, he has been successfully leading the top French Orchestre national d'Île-de-France for several years, with a residency at the famous Philharmonie de Paris. And finally: although he is an excellent conductor with inspiring energy, this will be his first time in Prague. Likewise for the German specialist in American music, the violinist Linus Roth, playing the Stradivarius "Dancla". The resulting programme mirrors and underlines all this. Just like the commencing Year of Czech Music, the year of Smetana, Janáček and Dvořák.
