But he soon flees from the plots of his new masters to the big city vortex of London, where he is accepted among a group of child thieves and pickpockets, led by the elderly Fagin. However, on his first attempt to steal, Oliver is caught and arrested. But his victim, the kind and kind-hearted Mr. Brownlow, takes him in and takes him to his luxurious house, where he begins to care for him. Out of fear of betraying his gang and their hideout, the cunning Fagin calls the heartless criminal Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap Oliver back... The multi-award-winning musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' famous novel Oliver Twist has been on Czech stages since its world premiere in 1960 only the second time. One of the world's most popular classical musicals, full of popular and still played melodies, will bring to the stage, in addition to adult actors, a large ensemble of child actors.
