Oresteia: Oresteïa Xenakis

Daha önce Yunanistan’da sahnelenen Iannis Xenakis’in Oresteia adlı yapıtı, konçertant versiyonuyla, Gürer Aykal yönetimindeki Borusan İstanbul Filarmoni Orkestrası üyeleriyle birlikte İstanbul Müzik Festivali’nde. Aiskhylos’un ünlü tragedyası Oresteia, festivalde, Xenakis’in insan sesi ve enstrümantal müziği bir araya getiren çağdaş yorumuyla Aya İrini’ye taşınıyor. Sahne yönetmenliğini Atina Şan Sanatları Merkezi direktörü ve bariton Spyros Sakkas’ın üstlendiği bu konserde BİFO üyelerinin yanı sıra Türkiye’den Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi Karma Korosu ve Çocuk Korosu ile Yunanistan’dan Atina Karma Korosu da sahnede olacak. Demokrasi ve barış temaları içeren bu şiirsel anlatı 2005 yılında Atina’da muhteşem bir atmosfer, görsel ve işitsel bir şölen yaşatmıştı. İktidar, ihanet, savaş, cinayet, yargı, demokrasi ve umudun oratoryosu Oresteia ile Aya İrini Müzesi’nde müzikseverleri etkileyici bir konser bekliyor.

Previously staged in Greece with its theatrical interpretation, Iannis Xenakis’ Oresteia will be in İstanbul Music Festival with its new arrangement as a concertante. Based on Aiskhlos’ well-known tragedy, Xenakis combines vocal arts with instrumental music in this oratorio, which revolves around themes of democracy and peace. Under the stage direction of Athens Centre of Vocal Arts’ director and baritone Spyros Sakkas, the concert will be realised with the participation of Borusan İstanbul Philharmonic Orchestra members, under the baton of Gürer Aykal, Mimar Sinan University Mixed Choir, Children’s Choir from Turkey, and Mixed Choir of the City of Athens from Greece. A poetic narrative of hegemony, treachery, war, justice, democracy, and hope awaits its audience at the historical atmosphere of Hagia Eirene Museum.
