Big event of the Festival En Voix! , the famous Peer Gynt is a fascinating and grandiose masterpiece that offers us a journey out of time. This musical story received a triumphant welcome from its creation and contributed to the international fame of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.
In Grieg 's Peer Gynt created in 1876, completely “hit” from beginning to end, there is an extremely seductive dimension in this musical language that goes beyond simple musical pleasure. With this truly unique combination of symphonic pieces, melodramas, sung passages, theatrical scenes, Peer Gynt presents itself to us as a formidable reservoir of evocative symbols and images with great poetic power.

Let's discover, through this tale by Henrik Ibsen, the tragicomic story of this boy without a father, unsuited to the world around him, driven to constantly seek elsewhere to be himself. Peer Gynt, endearing character, drunk with dreams, invents a fantastic universe to escape this reality. From the Norwegian fjords to the Moroccan desert, passing through magical worlds where elves and trolls live, this is the epic of this young man!

Jean-Philippe Clarac and Olivier Delœuil designed the staging of this show and an astonishing scenography that brings together the symphony orchestra covered with wooden walkways that singers and actors cross, thus playing between the real and the imaginary.

Grand évènement du Festival En Voix !, le célèbre Peer Gynt est un chef-d’œuvre fascinant et grandiose qui nous offre un voyage hors du temps. Cette histoire en musique reçut un accueil triomphal dès sa création et contribua à la renommée internationale du compositeur norvégien Edvard Grieg.
Dans Peer Gynt de Grieg créé en 1876, tout fait “tube”, du début à la fin, il y a dans ce langage musical une dimension extrêmement séduisante qui dépasse le simple plaisir musical. Avec cette combinaison proprement unique de morceaux symphoniques, de mélodrames, de passages chantés, de scènes théâtrales, Peer Gynt se présente à nous comme un formidable réservoir de symboles évocateurs et d’images à la très grande puissance poétique.

Découvrons, à travers ce conte d’Henrik Ibsen, le récit tragicomique de ce garçon sans père, inadapté au monde qui l’entoure, poussé à chercher sans cesse ailleurs pour être lui-même. Peer Gynt, personnage attachant, ivre de rêves, invente un univers fantastique pour fuir cette réalité. Des fjords norvégiens au désert marocain, en passant par des mondes féériques où vivent elfes et trolls, voilà l’épopée de ce jeune homme !

Jean-Philippe Clarac et Olivier Delœuil ont conçu la mise en scène de ce spectacle et une scénographie étonnante qui fait dialoguer l’orchestre symphonique recouvert de passerelles en bois que parcourent chanteurs et acteurs, jouant ainsi entre le réel et l’imaginaire.
