We don't have to introduce Oskar Nedbal to the Bratislava audience. The artist of European significance, which shaped the Slovak National Theater in the first years, has gone down in history not only as an excellent conductor who has stood on the world's leading opera stages and concert stages, but also as an original composer. His most famous work, which still adorns the repertoire of musical theaters, is the operetta Polish Blood.In the humorous story, the landowner Bolek Baranski is on the verge of bankruptcy due to his mischievous lifestyle and dubious companions, so he wants to solve his unhappy financial situation with advantageous marriages. It is recommended to him by a rich friend Zaremba, who forces his own daughter Helen. Since solving financial problems in this way is a guarantee of unusual complications and unexpected twists, it can be expected that there will be no shortage of fun with smiling situations even in our theatrical performance. Under the baton of Marián Vach, who will perform on the stage of the SND Opera for the first time with his own musical production, and directed by Marián Chudovský, leading soloists and guests of the opera house will perform in the production.
