Nella magia ineguagliabile dell’Olimpico di Vicenza, teatro coperto più antico al mondo disegnato da Palladio, per la prima volta dopo oltre 300 anni torna in scena “Polidoro”, capolavoro di Antonio Lotti. Un grande omaggio alla tradizione operistica veneziana di cui il compositore è un fondamentale rappresentante. Giovedì 6 e venerdì 7 settembre l’esclusiva opera sarà proposta in prima mondiale. Un intreccio di vicende antiche, ma mosse dai sentimenti senza tempo di uomini e donne dilaniati da passione d’amore, brama di potere, sete di vendetta. Come all’epoca della prima rappresentazione, sfarzosi costumi ci accompagneranno in un fasto antico che renderà unica e indimenticabile questo incontro con la grande musica barocca.

Into the magical aura of Vicenza’s Olimpico, the most ancient covered theater in the world designed by Palladio, for the first time after more than 300 years, the masterpiece by Antonio Lotti, “Polidoro” will be staged. A great tribute to the venetian opera tradition, of which the composer was an essential representative.
On Thursday the 6th and Friday the 7th of September, his opera will be proposed in the first performance ever in modern times. Ancient events, moved by the timeless feelings of men and women torn by passions, desire for power, need for vengeance, here entwine.
Just like at the time of the first performance, lavish costumes will lead us into the ancient splendor that will make of this meeting with the great baroque music a unique and memorable moment.
