The renewed TivoliVredenburg exists ten years. Together with a narrator, Pynarello, the most rebellious orchestra in the Netherlands, presents an exciting performance about the mysterious death of Tchaikovsky against the backdrop of his latest composition, the Pathétique .

10 years of TivoliVredenburg with Pynarello
A concert dedicated to 10 years of TivoliVredenburg, the permanent home of the AVROTROS Friday Concert. The completely renovated hall complex opened its doors in 2014 as a unique combination of a classical concert hall, pop stage and everything in between. Pynarello, the most transverse orchestra in the Netherlands, fits in perfectly with that. The musicians call themselves a rebel club, a whirlwind storming through the china shop. They play standing up, without a conductor and without notes in front of them. In their performance you as a listener are very close to it and classical music gets the same thrill as a pop concert.

The enigma of Tchaikovsky's Pathétique
Pynarello takes you into one of the greatest mysteries of classical music. On October 28, 1893, Tchaikovsky premièred his Pathétique in Saint Petersburg . Nine days later he died under mysterious circumstances. Had his homosexuality, which he always carefully concealed, come out after all? Did he die of cholera and was that a self-chosen death or was there something else behind it? A mysterious history that reads like a straight-up crime scene. This mysterious history is the starting point for Pynarello's journey through symphony Pathétique and the life of Tchaikovsky. The concert opens with a new composition by Joey Roukens, specially composed for Pynarello. Based on Tchaikovsky's Sixth Symphonya new composition by Joey Roukens, Pynarello tells the story of this pathetic symphony.

Het vernieuwde TivoliVredenburg bestaat tien jaar. Pynarello, het meest rebelse orkest van Nederland brengt, samen met een verteller, een spannende voorstelling over de geheimzinnige dood van Tsjaikovski tegen de achtergrond van zijn laatste compositie, de Pathétique.

10 jaar TivoliVredenburg met Pynarello
Een concert dat in het teken staat van 10 jaar TivoliVredenburg, het vaste onderkomen van het AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert. In 2014 opende het geheel vernieuwde zalencomplex zijn deuren als een unieke combinatie van klassieke concertzaal, poppodium en alles daar tussenin. Pynarello, het meest dwarse orkest van Nederland, past daar perfect bij. De musici noemen zichzelf een rebellenclub, een wervelwind die door de porseleinkast stormt. Ze spelen staand, zonder dirigent en zonder noten voor hun neus. In hun performance zit je er als luisteraar heel dichtbij en krijgt klassieke muziek dezelfde zindering als een popconcert.

Het raadsel van Tsjaikovski's Pathétique
Pynarello neemt je mee in een van de grootste mysteries van de klassieke muziek. Op 28 oktober 1893 leidde Tsjaikovski in Sint-Petersburg de première van zijn Pathétique. Negen dagen later overleed hij onder raadselachtige omstandigheden. Was zijn homoseksualiteit, die hij altijd angstvallig verborgen hield, toch uitgekomen? Stierf hij aan de cholera en was dat een zelfgekozen dood of zat er iets anders achter? Een geheimzinnige geschiedenis die leest als een regelrechte krimi. Deze geheimzinnige geschiedenis is het beginpunt voor Pynarello's ontdekkingsreis door symfonie Pathétique en het leven van Tsjaikovski. Het concert wordt geopend met een nieuwe compositie van Joey Roukens, speciaal gecomponeerd voor Pynarello. Aan de hand van Tsjaikovski's Zesde Symfonie een nieuwe compositie van Joey Roukens, vertelt Pynarello het verhaal van deze pathetische symfonie.
