“One Of The Most Warm Things In This World Is Reminiscing. There Is Nothing Sweeter Than Familiarity.” -Christopher Poindexter
2020 has proven to be a year fraught with turmoil, pain and loss, and those of us who make and enjoy art have felt a profound sense of grief as our concert halls and stages were closed. Our gathering places may be temporarily closed, but the healing, rejuvenation and hope that music gives is relevant and necessary. Join Dr. Maryann Kyle and Dr. Michael Bunchman as they share the works of Mahler, Sondheim, Gershwin and Zaninelli in a program that gives us pause to reflect on the sweet memories of the past, those we’ve loved and lost and to look forward with hope to a time when we will share our art with one another. Tonight we celebrate art made together and return to that sweet sense of familiarity.
