One of the most magnificent works from the treasury of classical music Requiem is the last work of the great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He wrote the most famous mass for the dead for a mysterious client, Count Franz von Walsegg-Stupach, but he never finished it due to his death. In his setting of the Mass for the Dead, he adhered to the prescribed sacral style of Bach, Händel and Italian Baroque masters, but combined the old forms with the shocking experience of impending death. The requiem, with its bold harmonies and instrumentation (the dark ceremonial color given to the orchestra by basset horns, bassoons and timpani), foretells a romantic era more than any other 18th-century musical work. Renowned French conductor Yan Pascal Tortelier will take the podium .
