Operetta in three acts by Konstantin Listov

By the anniversary date of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, one of the best and most popular operetta by Konstantin Listov "The Sevastopol Waltz" reappeared in the repertoire. The fate of this performance was surprisingly happy. It is difficult to name the theater of our country, which would not stage the "Sevastopol Waltz". On the stage of the Theater of Musical Comedy, it was staged twice - in 1961 and 1973, and has always been a hit with the audience.

The easily remembered melody of the famous song "Sevastopol Waltz" was extremely popular in its time. She became the main core of the future operetta and, having experienced her second birth, for many years established herself in a new genre for herself.

A romantic love story that makes the viewer empathize with the characters, cry and laugh with them, believe in real feelings, love and remember those who gave their lives for victory, is surprisingly touching. Its heroes have become close and dear to us from the old and wonderful films about the war, where people, despite the difficulties and suffering, do not lose their fortitude and sense of humor.

In September 2014, the performance with a resounding success was shown on the stage of the Drama Theater. Lunacharsky in the hero-city of Sevastopol.
