Siegfried, the "strongest hero", grows up with the dwarf Mime, fearless and without any knowledge of his origins. After learning the story of his true parents, Siegmund and Sieglinde, from him, Siegfried is drawn out into the world. He kills the dragon, finds Brünnhilde - and splits Wotan's spear. But as the grandson of the father of gods, he cannot escape the deadly structures of power and greed surrounding the ring.
