The opera The Snow Maiden is a musical poem by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov about the miraculous transformation of nature, which slept under a white snow cover and woke up with the advent of spring, singing, chirping with thousands of voices, turning green with flowers, filling the air with forest and meadow aromas. With an art almost incomprehensible, the composer embodied in his music the change of seasons, the sounds, colors and aromas of spring.

The opera "The Snow Maiden" is a living personification of youth and first love, childish playfulness, the bliss of a wonderful feeling and the sweet pangs of melting at the end of the performance. The opera captivates with its unusualness, fabulousness, reflecting the life and folk ideas about the beauty and love of people from the distant past - the world of the Berendeys.

The opera reveals its bright facets only to the most sensitive viewer. But everyone who once managed to comprehend her true beauty will never be able to stop loving her. Like the young Snow Maiden, out of modesty, the opera does not show all its depth at once, but it was through a fairy tale in Rus' that the most valuable thoughts and deep feelings were conveyed from ancient times.

Опера «Снегурочка» – музыкальная поэма Н. А. Римского-Корсакова о чудесном преображении природы, спавшей под белым снежным покрывалом и проснувшейся с появлением весны, запевшей, защебетавшей тысячами голосов, зазеленевшей цветами, напоившей воздух лесными и луговыми ароматами. С искусством, почти непостижимым, композитор воплотил в своей музыке смену времён года, звуки, краски и ароматы весны.

Опера «Снегурочка» –  это живое олицетворение юности и первой любви, детская резвость, блаженство прекрасного чувства и сладкие муки таяния в конце спектакля. Опера пленяет своей необычностью, сказочностью, отражая жизнь и народные представления о красоте и любви людей из далекого прошлого – мира берендеев.

Опера открывается своими яркими гранями только самому чуткому зрителю. Но каждый, кто сумел постичь однажды её подлинную красоту, никогда не сможет разлюбить её. Подобно юной Снегурочке, опера из скромности не показывает всей своей глубины сразу, но именно через сказку на Руси издревле передавали самые ценные мысли и глубокие чувства.
