On the eve of the celebration of Victory Day at the Musical Theater K.S. Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko, a concert will take place, without which it is impossible to imagine the May poster.

On May 8, the leading soloist of the MAMT Opera Company Khibla Gerzmava and pianist and jazz improviser Oleg Akkuratov will perform songs from the 1940s-1970s on the Main Stage. We have not disclosed the details of the program yet, however, the name of the concert itself speaks volumes: “Somewhere far away, in my memory” is the title of a song to music by Mikael Tariverdiev and lyrics by Robert Rozhdestvensky.

"Somewhere far away ..." was first performed only in 1973 by Joseph Kobzon in the Soviet military drama by Tatyana Lioznova "Seventeen Moments of Spring". However, it was this song, a song about pain and memory, that became one of the most popular compositions for the post-war generation.

The concert dedicated to the Victory Day was prepared by the head of the opera troupe and chief director of MAMT Alexander Titel , director Alexei Smirnov and chief designer of the theater Vladimir Arefiev .
