The State Orchestra of Athens, throughout its long artistic journey, has always served Greek music faithfully, recognizing in practice its value and interest. This is what he does in this concert, which is dedicated to the Greek piano concerto. A species that, with very few exceptions, is not that well known and that certainly deserves to be known better. Whether this is sealed by the modernism of Nikos Skalkotas, or by the bright, virtuosic writing of Rena Kyriakou, or by the multifaceted piano-orchestral accompaniment in the case of Haris Vrontos, whose concerto will be presented in its first performance.
