With its hallucinatory performances, The Tallest Man on Earth takes over the stage. The charismatic performer enchants the audience with its raw voice timbre and seductive folk melodies. In consultation with Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Matsson welcomes the year 2024 with a surprise concert.

New Year's tradition
The New Year's concerts of Amsterdam Sinfonietta form an indestructible tradition. In the past, the string orchestra received guests such as Rufus Wainwright, Jonathan Jeremiah and Wende. This time they serve a tantalizing cocktail of Swedish folklore, classical Scandinavian orchestral music and surprising covers by Matsson and his sources of inspiration Bob Dylan and Sting.

They are joined by the renowned American string quartet Brooklyn Rider that has already collaborated with Philip Glass and Anne Sofie von Otter. First violinist Colin Jacobsen leads Amsterdam Sinfonietta during the concert series.
