Opera in three acts, with music by Giacomo Puccini and Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, premiered in Rome on January 14, 1900.

Moved by the desire to bring the great operatic genre closer to all audiences, the Chamber Opera Company of Valencia presents the production of Tosca as a new project for 2022. One of the most performed operas of the Italian verista repertoire in a format adapted to a hall like the Auditorio de l'Eliana and with the voices of great and prestigious soloists who are currently shining in theaters such as the Liceo de Barcelona, ​​or the Teatro Real in Madrid.

The orchestral part will be played on the piano. The sound of the piano adapts perfectly to this type of auditorium, and manages to reproduce all the dramatic and musical intentions of the composer thanks to the fact that the piano score was Puccini's first step in the composition of the work, before orchestrating it.
