Marie-Louise Bischofberger, David Stern and Opera Fuoco offer a colorful show, worthy of the life of Mozart's genius librettist, Da Ponte.
Who is the man behind the most famous trilogy in the opera world? This lyrical show set in space is inspired by his memoirs. Da Ponte rose to fame writing the librettos for Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte . Beyond the manuscripts, he also makes his voice heard in his memoirs. Written at the end of his life in New York, at the time of Rossini, he brings to it a very personal vision of musical Europe in the 18th century. The adventures he went through nourished the characters in his works.

Starting from hisMemoirs , Marie-Louise Bischofberger and David Stern wanted to give him the floor. He will challenge the public with the insolence and outspokenness that he knew how to distill in his booklets. We will come across Salieri, Joseph II, Casanova and the ghostly silhouette of Mozart on stage. From Venice to New York, Da Ponte reinvents his past, which he experienced as that "crazy day" of the spiritual Figaro's wedding.

Qui est l’homme derrière la trilogie la plus connue du monde lyrique ? Ce spectacle lyrique mis en espace s'inspire de ses mémoires. Da Ponte a connu la gloire en écrivant les livrets des Nozze di Figaro, de Don Giovanni et de Così fan tutte. Au-delà des manuscrits, il fait aussi entendre sa voix dans ses mémoires. Rédigés à la fin de sa vie à New York, à l’ère de Rossini, il y apporte une vision très personnelle de l’Europe musicale du XVIIIe siècle. Les péripéties qu’il a traversées ont nourri les personnages de ses œuvres.

Partant de ses Mémoires, Marie-Louise Bischofberger et David Stern ont souhaité lui donner la parole. Il interpellera le public avec l’insolence et le franc-parler qu’il a su distiller dans ses livrets. On croisera sur scène Salieri, Joseph II, Casanova et la silhouette fantomatique de Mozart. De Venise à New York, Da Ponte réinvente son passé qu’il a vécu comme cette « folle journée » de noces du spirituel Figaro.
