Elk jaar organiseren Bozar en het Belgian National Orchestra net voor de kerstvakantie een hartverwarmende familievoorstelling. Dit jaar brengt het Franse kunstenaarscollectief Les Clés d’Ecoute, gespecialiseerd in jeugdvoorstellingen, een gloednieuwe productie, gebaseerd op de muziek van Mozart.

De rode draad doorheen deze voorstelling? Een vogel die gaandeweg zijn vrijheid herwint! Een mimespeler loodst groot en klein doorheen het concert terwijl videobeelden voor een waar visueel spektakel zorgen.

Jonge zangers brengen aria’s van de vogelvanger Papageno, zijn liefje Papagena en van de huiveringwekkende Koningin van de Nacht – allemaal personages uit Mozarts bekendste opera De toverfluit. Ook fragmenten van twee andere meesterwerken staan op het programma: Così fan tutti en Don Giovanni. Verwacht je echter aan een compleet nieuwe verhaallijn die al je kennis over deze opera’s op zijn kop zet!

Every year, just before the Christmas holidays, Bozar and the Belgian National Orchestra organize a heartwarming family performance. This year, the French artists' collective Les Clés d'Ecoute, specialized in youth performances, will present a brand new production based on Mozart's music.

The common thread running through this performance? A bird that gradually regains its freedom! A mime artist guides young and old through the concert, while video images provide a true visual spectacle.

Young singers perform arias by the birdcatcher Papageno, his sweetheart Papagena and the hair-raising Queen of the Night – all characters from Mozart's most famous opera The Magic Flute . Fragments of two other masterpieces are also on the program: Così fan tutti and Don Giovanni. However, expect a completely new storyline that will turn all your knowledge about these operas upside down!
