La Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine/YsOU è un progetto musicale unico che riunisce giovani musicisti dai 12 ai 22 anni da tutta l’Ucraina. La missione di YsOU è quella di essere una piattaforma per lo sviluppo di giovani musicisti con l’obiettivo di diffondere la musica classica e i suoi valori nella realtà attuale. Durante la serata verrà eseguita la Suite n. 3 di Ottorino Respighi Antiche danze et arie per liuto, la Sinfonia n. 4 Italiana op. 90 di Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, oltre alla prima esecuzione italiana del brano Cantate on the poems of Lina Kostenko Polumiam zhority (Burn on in flames) di Eduard Resatsch in cui è prevista la partecipazione come voce solista del soprano Yuliia Tkachenko. Il concerto vuole fortemente testimoniare la solidarietà e la vicinanza della Fondazione del Teatro Grande alla popolazione ucraina.

The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine/YsOU is a unique musical project that brings together young musicians from 12 to 22 years old from all over Ukraine. YsOU’s mission is to be a platform for the development of young musicians with the aim of spreading classical music and its values in today’s reality. The concert strongly wants to witness the solidarity and closeness of the Great Theatre Foundation to the Ukrainian population who for months has been suffering a violent and unacceptable aggression.
