Bio: LEONOR AMARAL Portuguese Soprano, studied in Cologne and Düsseldorf, where she graduated with excellency from her Exzellenzstudiengang Konzertexamen. Leonor has worked with conductors such as Christoph Spering, Graeme Jenkins, Ruben Gazarian, Ryusuke Numajiri and Rüdiger Bohn. She has sung numerous concerts throughout Germany, including in Gasteig Munich, Kölner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Tonhalle Düsseldorf and Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal. She has also worked with ensembles such as Pera Ensemble, Chorus Musicus Köln and Concerto Stella Matutina, with whom she sang "The Fairy Queen". In 2015, Leonor was a semifinalist in the renowned competition Neue Stimmen and in 2017 she was a finalist in the international singing competition for baroque opera "Pietro Antonio Cesti". Her baroque opera roles include Dido in "Dido and Aeneas", Morgana in "Alcina" and Armida in "Rinaldo". Additionally, she has sung in opera houses such as Wuppertaler Bühnen, as well as Theater Lübeck, where she was a member of the Operaelitestudio. In 2016, Leonor was engaged to work in the ensemble at Theater Nordhausen, where she made her debut as Musetta in "La Bohème", Marie in "Zar und Zimmermann", Constance in "Dialogues des Carmélites" and in 2017 will sing Adele in "Die Fledermaus,” among other roles. This summer Leonor will debut in "La Cenerentola" as Clorinda in Switzerland.
