Mezzo-soprano Brooke Larimer is a singing musician-actress celebrated for her “convincing physical realization of character” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), "stunningly dramatic" performances (ClevelandClassical.com), and her "richly hued voice" (Pittsburgh in the Round). After her Syracuse Opera debut last season as Filippyevna in Eugene Onegin, Brooke returns as Mercédès in Carmen, and Flora in La traviata. Also during the 2017-2018 season, she debuts with Symphoria as alto soloist in Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott (BWV 80) conducted by Lawrence Loh and returns to Opera on the James to sing Dorabella in Così fan tutte. Last season she debuted the role of Mme. de Croissy in Dialogues of the Carmelites as a guest artist with Baldwin Wallace University and reprised Mistress Quickly in Falsta
